Catching up session with the girls and our yummylicious Haaegen Dazs Fondue again :)
Sorry for the blur picture but it's the only I've got of us girls! Blame it on the waiter with shaky hands...must have panicked to see so many pretty girls at one table! :P Love the fondue and the company! :)
Proceeded to Library @ Straits Quay with Iris & Eunice while the others stayed back. Met up with 3 gorgeous girls who are Eunice's friends over there for a drinking session that I'll never forget. I am never a good drinker and usually I don't even finish one whole glass of beer.
It was my first time having cocktail on Iris' recommendation and well, Long Island Iced Tea sounds decent enough, right? Wrong! After drinking, I am still well aware and alert of my surroundings but it was really the heart beat that scared the daylights out of me. I felt my heart beating so fast I thought it was going to explode. I can even hear my heart thumping in my ears and my head!
After reaching home, I sat down on my kitchen floor for some time trying to calm down my racing heart. I literally felt that I was going to die...*drama* It took nearly an hour for it to slow down and I was so relieved, I could cry! Googled and this is what I got:-
"Alcohol makes the blood vessels dilate lowering your blood pressure and your heart has to compensate for this by pumping faster in order to get the blood around your body"
and
"The rapid heartbeats that you've been experiencing after drinking alcohol aren't unusual. Many people experience the same thing. In fact, having an extra drink or two at celebrations or during the holidays can cause rapid heartbeats that are often called "Holiday Heart."
Yayyyyy!! I am NOT dying! All I have is just a "Holiday Heart"...what a cute name for such a scary experience...What an irony! haha
Then, I also scared MYSELF looking at MYSELF in the mirror! -___- And, no I wasn't freaked out about my hair (although I am, almost every morning! Why in the world did I perm my hair again? - LOL) I was as pale as the white sheets but my body was as red as the lobster with rashes!
Lesson learnt. No more cocktails for me, ever!
And never take any recommendations from someone who thinks Hoegaarden is like green tea! LOL
