The Long Island Scare

Catching up session with the girls and our yummylicious Haaegen Dazs Fondue again :)

Sorry for the blur picture but it's the only I've got of us girls! Blame it on the waiter with shaky hands...must have panicked to see so many pretty girls at one table! :P Love the fondue and the company! :)

Proceeded to Library @ Straits Quay with Iris & Eunice while the others stayed back. Met up with 3 gorgeous girls who are Eunice's friends over there for a drinking session that I'll never forget. I am never a good drinker and usually I don't even finish one whole glass of beer.

It was my first time having cocktail on Iris' recommendation and well, Long Island Iced Tea sounds decent enough, right? Wrong! After drinking, I am still well aware and alert of my surroundings but it was really the heart beat that scared the daylights out of me.  I felt my heart beating so fast I thought it was going to explode. I can even hear my heart thumping in my ears and my head!

After reaching home, I sat down on my kitchen floor for some time trying to calm down my racing heart. I literally felt that I was going to die...*drama* It took nearly an hour for it to slow down and I was so relieved, I could cry! Googled and this is what I got:-

"Alcohol makes the blood vessels dilate lowering your blood pressure and your heart has to compensate for this by pumping faster in order to get the blood around your body"

and

"The rapid heartbeats that you've been experiencing after drinking alcohol aren't unusual. Many people experience the same thing. In fact, having an extra drink or two at celebrations or during the holidays can cause rapid heartbeats that are often called "Holiday Heart."

Yayyyyy!! I am NOT dying! All I have is just a "Holiday Heart"...what a cute name for such a scary experience...What an irony! haha

Then, I also scared MYSELF looking at MYSELF in the mirror! -___- And, no I wasn't freaked out about my hair (although I am, almost every morning! Why in the world did I perm my hair again? - LOL)  I was as pale as the white sheets but my body was as red as the lobster with rashes!

Lesson learnt. No more cocktails for me, ever!

And never take any recommendations from someone who thinks Hoegaarden is like green tea! LOL

Oh and btw, I won a prize from Ray Malaysia yesterday! Woot woots! The leap year has definitely gave me luck! :)They have this contest every Wednesday and I can't believe I was actually picked! :) We had to answer two questions about the magazine and the 25th person or something like that will walk away with the prize!  It's been a long time since I've won anything so winning this makes me feel super happy! Thanks again, Ray Malaysia!

I Love You!!!

So.... I never did blog about my love for iPhone and as such, I'm doing one right now! We are all still in the Valentine mood, right? Need to get all the love off my chest before it explodes! LOL Be warned, this post will be oozing with lots of apple love! ;)

At first, although there were so much hype about the iPhone, I dare not consider it due to my forever wet hands and that was how I ended up with my previous Samsung phone which has both the touch screen and button function. I was pretty happy with the phone until.....everyone around me started to have the...*drums roll*... Smartphone.

Still, I controlled myself and it was as if my Samsung phone heard me, she started deteriorating slowly as well. And, that was when the iPhone 4 decided to launch. I started doing more research and finally it was between the iPhone or the Samsung Galaxy.  No BB for me because I didn't like how small the screen were with the tiny buttons! -_____-  Problem is, both are touch screens and I finally decided that I'll just have to live with a sticky screen all my life. It's funny that when you really, really, really want something, you find excuses just to cover the flaws haha

I still remember that day clearly, somewhere in November, 2010.....my phone decided to die on me completely and so happen, Maxis was having a road show in Gurney Plaza on the same day. Call it Fate or what but I immediately decided to head there right after work and yes, I got myself an iPhone 4!! The voice inside my head was so strong that I could no longer ignore it haha I know I say this practically about every phones I own but trust me, iPhone was my best choice ever, ever, ever!!

The minute I had the iPhone, I was wondering how could I have survived so long without it? It's truly a life savior and at that time, it brought me to a whole new different world altogether! I began to spread my apple love and Iris surprised me by getting herself a iPhone not long after I've gotten mine! She blames me for poisoning her till this day but really,  Iris, you have no regrets at all, right? :D

Knowing me as a Gemini, I lose interest on things just as fast as they interest me so it is a miracle that till this day, I still have so much love for my iPhone! Every time I thought that I have loved it enough, I would love it even more! haha I guess it's true when people say you start appreciating things when you lose them...I still remember how torturous it was for me to go on without my iPhone for 2 weeks...*shudders*  Sent it to Maxis after the home button died and they replaced a new phone for me but...but...but....I had to go 2 weeks without it! Thinking about it still gives me nightmares! LOL

Anyway, here are the top five six (added in one more last minute) reasons why I cannot live without my iPhone...or to be more specific the apps that comes with the iPhone! haha

1. Whatsapp
Thanks to the awesome app which Dad can download it for free while Apple users have to pay $0.99 USD, I get to reconnect with my friends and for free too! We can chat all day and all night long and even in groups with the chatroom function! Two thumbs up!

2. Instagram & Photo Wall
Love love love these photo apps! It makes me an instant professional photographer and I get to mesh them all up into one picture! Superb for blogging!

3. Blogger App
No need further explanation....to cut it short, without this, I wouldn't be here right now haha

4. Maxis Movies App
This is truly a heaven's blessing especially for frequent movie goers like myself! They have a Buy 1 Free 1 promotion for ANY movie, ANY day, ANY time! Super duper worth it!

5. Being connected all the time!
Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Emails...you name it! It's all so convenient and I get to online at any time, on the go! It's extremely awesome especially when you are waiting in Court and you have nothing to do! Great way to kill time...by stalking other people online! LOLLL Heck, I don't even have to worry that I'll be lost (knowing how bad I am with directions!) with Google Maps and Waze!

6. Air Asia app
I just found out how useful it is today! We were trying to get into AA's site since last night for the Big Sale but could not do so! Decided to give this app a try and lo and behold, it works!!! We are going to Korea in November!!! Wooohoooo!!!! Can't wait!!! I'm going to see Nichkhun in 8 months time!! hahaha *dreams on*

Last but not least, HAPPY belated VALENTINE to my dearest iPhone! I love you and Nichkhun too! haha

Cameron Highlands (4/2/2012~5/2/2012)

Wanted to blog earlier but right after the trip, I fell super sick with sore throat, flu, cough and fever...all attacking me at once! Now that I'm feeling a bit better, I shall blog about my short impromptu trip to the Cameron Highlands recently! :)

Bucket List

13. Go on a road trip or overseas trip with friends only

Yayyy! Another item on my bucket list is ticked off...A road trip with friends! It was a super duper last minute thing and thanks to CT's powerful persuasion, I landed myself in Cameron Highlands together with Chin Ting, Swee Phaik, Elaine, Suan Mei and Suet Li. As CT likes to call it, it's our 10th year anniversary reunion since we left school....*Gasps* It's been THAT long?!!?

Was there for 2 days 1 night and the what I love about the trip are the companionship, the strawberries and the cooling weather! However, when we are back in Penang, most of us fell sick...could it be the weather change? Hmm....

We stayed at Crown Imperial for RM450 per night...a super spacious 3 room apartment but with annoying neighbours upstairs! They kept shifting the furnitures around and sang so loudly in the shower in the morning*shakes head*

Shall let the pictures do the talking like I always say, pictures do speak a thousand words! Totally love my iPhone that allows me to mesh up my pictures instead of uploading them one by one! Did I tell you how much I love my iPhone? It seems that I've been slipping in my love of iPhone in every post! I so should dedicate one whole blog post to my love of iPhone, right? Yes, that is what I should do! #challengeaccepted LOL

At the market and pasar malam...the veges are shockingly cheap!! Look at the picture on your top left.....they even have purple cauliflower! :)

Been to Cameron Highlands so many times but I've never plucked my own strawberries! Weee! Now, that was an interesting and fun experience!

Our very own steamboat with all ingredients fresh from Cameron Highlands!

On Sunday, the traffic was crazyyyyy!!! So many cars coming up and down from Cameron Highlands...so us being girls......

We see the jam as an opportunity to do what girls do best...CAM-WHORING!!!

At the Plant Nursery...where I finally see some colours because everywhere you look in Cameron Highlands, it's just green and you all know green isn't exactly my favourite colour!

On our back to Penang, we drove to Serdang to have the famous "char moi" (fried porridge) which was to me, the biggest disappointment ever! -____- I cannot understand what is so special about it at all!

I have been hearing so many good reviews about it but honestly, I didn't like it at all...:( It's just not my cup of tea or maybe, I'm just not a fan of porridge! We were also at a table where the flies just attacked us non stop....making me completely lose my appetite. I think it's the table we sit since others were not having the same problem with the flies! Sighs! Anyway, I will not recommend this to anyone no matter how good people claim it to be! :p

A Quick Post!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Better start blogging before the 15 whole days of CNY end! Have no idea what I've been doing since I had 9 days off including the weekends for CNY! I so should have blogged earlier so forgive me for being a bag of lazy bones haha

Bucket List

10. Get a complete makeover. First step, to have mermaid curls! Never really had a major hairstyle change before so now is really a good time to start! ;)

The start of the new year seems promising since I've fulfilled one more item of my bucket list! I'm really living a if the end of the world is coming, which is good in a way! I finally did something I've been wanting to do for so long but just couldn't get myself to do it. I've finally permed my hair!! Haha

Used the Groupon voucher of RM138 and did it in Ahead at Prangin Mall together with Ee Lin! The results was well...honestly, I didn't like it! I was horrified and you know my face...I can't hide my expression so I think I might have upset the hairdresser..Oops! I also started combing my hair the day after which resulted the curls to be separated which made it even worse haha

But...But....No matter how I see it, I cannot go walking around looking like Goldilocks, right? That was exactly how I looked like and probably I still look like that now...*shivers*

So...here's my new look! Gonna take a few weeks or months or...*gasps* eternity for me to get used to it!

Finally after so many failed attempts to make an appointment, I got myself a mani pedi at Glamorous Nails. Went together with the girls and believe it or not, we were there from 6pm to 9pm!! -__-  The manicurist was doing all four of us by herself! In the end, SF had to change her pedi to another day as her parents were already there to pick her up. The manicurist should have told us that she's the only one when we made the appointment! *shakes head*

The experience is not as bad as I've perceived it to be but I still feel super embarrassed thanks to my forever wet hands and feet! I try my best to relax but I guessed everyone saw through how nervous and worried I was! Again, the face...I need to learn how to hide my emotions better! haha

Didn't do much visiting this CNY so collection also low...I want more ang pows! Funny that people always commented that the ang pow gets smaller as you grow up. Shouldn't it be the other way around? The more grown up we are, the more money we need! Don't you agree with me?

Met up with the girls for New Year and I had a lot of catching up to do! I think I really have to thank whatsapp for connecting me with my friends again...Love my apple! I just had to add that in! Eunice is the latest addition to the apple gang with her 4S! Yayyy! Shall start hunting for my next apple target! LOL

Anyway, I shall let the pictures do the talking! Toodles! ;)

My Bucket List....just in case

Happy New Year to all of you!!! :)

Cannot believe how fast 365 days just passed by and before we know it, we have all reach the year 2012...the year where everyone is afraid of. Will the end of the world really happen on 21/12/2012? And does that mean the Christmas and the New Year that we all just celebrated, will be our last? *shivers*

Since this may be my last year on Earth, I've decided not to make any more resolutions because let's face it, I'm never going to fulfill them..End of the world or not haha

On the other hand, I shall make a bucket list so here are the list of things I would like to do before I kick the bucket... I know it sounds depressing but I think it's more effective than making resolutions! At least, I've managed to accomplish a few of them last year! ;) I shall try to make my list as realistic as possible! I did say, try.....alright? LOL

1. Travel to as many places as I can especially Australia (always been my dream place!), Korea (Read - KPOP & KDrama!), Japan (Sakuras and Disneyland!), Hong Kong (Disneyland!), New York (Shopping!) and Europe (Beautiful breathtaking places!), just to name a few!

2. Bungee jumping or maybe, sky diving! I'm a girl who seems to be afraid of everything but super brave when it comes to doing all these extreme sports/games!

3. To ride on the Battlestar Galactica Human vs. Cylon rollercoasters in Universal Studios, Singapore I did that  last year and it was awesomeeeee! Definitely the BEST rollercoaster ride ever! I'm still dreaming of it up till today...Regretted not going on it again for the second time! Trust me, you haven't been to Universal Studios until you have ride those rollercoasters!

4. To love and be loved. Enough said. :)

5. Learn how to play the piano

6. Swim with the dolphins! Always been fascinated with them since young!

7. Write and publish a novel

8. Learn and be fluent in Korean, Japanese, Thai and Mandarin :)

9. Build a snowman and make snow angels! I want to see and feel snow!

11. Learn to say "No" without feeling guilty

12. To take up a course in creative writing

13. Go on a road trip or overseas trip with friends only

14. Dance freely and happily under the rain

15. Witness a meteor shower

16. Attend 2PM's live concert and not merely watch their performances on TV. Done that last year and it's one of the best night ever! :)

17. To meet Nichkhun in person and receive a hug from him...Is it too much to ask? hehe

18. Pamper myself with a mani and pedi.....Yup been there, done that and got addicted to that!

19. Learn cycling again...Cannot believe how I can forget how to cycle!

20. Find out what is it that I want and go for it, full force
